The genesis of music is personal experience. From seeing a piece of flotsam bouncing around in the incoming tide on an island in the Arabian Sea to watching some friends ignore the pleadings of a pal for some help because they were on there way to the pub to watch the football, I have tried to paint some musical pictures of what I see around me.
Some songs are totally invented but then again there must be something lurking in the back of my mind that creates the lyrics and music.
I always write the music after the lyrics.. but in one song I did focus on the rhythm first ...and then worked in some fast fitting lyrics. I wonder which one it was now. There is another album out there.. or in here.. just waiting to be written..
